Clay soil around Wylie swells when it's wet and pulls back hard when it dries out. That push-pull is what drops one corner of a driveway or patio while the rest stays put. Mudjacking pumps a cement-based slurry under the low spot and floats the slab back up. You're not tearing out concrete that's otherwise fine.

Wylie Concrete Lifting uses mudjacking on slabs that have settled a fair amount, usually a half inch or more. The extra weight of the slurry helps hold that lift long term. It's a different tool than foam. Picking the right one matters more than the price tag alone.

How it works

How Our Mudjacking Process Works

  1. Verify level photo
    Step 1

    Site walk

We check the slab, mark low points and drill layout.

  2. Drilling pattern photo
    Step 2

    Drill holes

Small holes go in at planned points, about the size of a quarter.

  3. Pump slurry photo
    Step 3

    Pump slurry

Cement-based slurry gets pumped through the holes until the slab lifts to grade.

  4. Level check photo

FAQs

Mudjacking FAQs

How much does mudjacking cost?

Most residential jobs run $600 to $2,000 depending on slab size and how far it's settled. A free estimate gives you a firm number for your driveway or patio.

How long before I can drive on it?

Give it about 24 hours before heavy vehicle traffic. You can usually walk on it much sooner.

Is mudjacking better than foam?

Neither is "better" across the board. Mudjacking suits heavier, older settlement. Foam suits lighter, faster lifts. We'll tell you which fits your slab.
